'Tricks-Of-The-Trade' From The Home Relocation Experts That
Will Save You Time, Money and Stress - Guaranteed!

Karlee shares with you these 10 insider secrets of moving that all professional moving companies know that you should - before you move home.

"So simple anyone can do them"

Dishwasher.jpg
1. Pack your plates and glasses into your cartons "like you would a dishwasher". This way all the downward force won't be on a single glass or plate, reducing the chance of possible chipping or cracking. Remember to use plenty of packing paper at the base of the carton.

2. Move all boxes and small items to the front loading area. This will reduce the walking distance of your removalists. Patio chairs and garden shed items can be included. The garage or lounge room is often the best place.

3. Disassemble IKEA and DIY furniture packs. Some items of furniture mayCatonbed.jpg have
been assembled in your home and may not fit through the front door or be suitable for transport as is. Simply unlock the clips and dismantle (unless some family members refuse to move).

4. Place all light items into plastic shopping bags. This is a great cardboard saving idea for rounding up all those plastics, toys and cushions.

5. Move all large items against the walls. Your removalist will generally start with large timber items and lounges first. Having a clear pathway around the house makes this process easier and faster.

6. If moving into Self Storage, leave 6 - 10 old sheets available.
Using sheets will protect your furniture when stacking and allow for greater height utilisation.

7. Write the description of the contents of your packing carton on the masking tape enclosing the lid, instead of the packing carton itself. This way, you simply peel off the tape when you are done and you have a brand new, "unmarked" carton for use next time or to re-sell at a better price.

8. Place a roll of toilet paper in the fridge after you clean it. Our favouriPuppywithroll.jpgte tip! Toilet paper absorbs a lot of that "chemical" smell and moisture in a short time once placed in the fridge after cleaning. Your new house deserves a fresh smelling fridge so it's not just for puppies to play with.

9. Purchase cartons in packs of 10 to gain a discount. We work closely with many leading self-storage facilities - all of whom sell packing cartoBookWine.jpgns. If you buy cartons in packs of 10 they usually give you a nice discount plus they will buy back any unused cartons. You'll never be left with any surplus, unused cartons and each one will be cheaper.

10. When moving locally, take advantage of being organised and use a cost Xmas.JPGaffective hourly rate. This way you can tell your removalists exactly what you would like them to take (or leave behind) and use your family and friends to help. Family are smart and don't want to lift the heavy things but they can move all the smaller items over to our truck (and reward them for their efforts at Christmas).

"Dear Karlee, just wanted to say thanks again for the great move last weekend. Things could not have gone more smoothly. I've attached the following pictures of the guys in action that Anne took. After many home relocations, we have never seen removalists who take so much care with wrapping and moving our furniture - very impressive."

Karlee Answers Your Top 5
Frequently Asked Questions

1. Karlee, when moving locally, why is an hourly rate better than a set price quote?
"A quote always seems to price to a 'worst case senario' proposition. When moving locally, I believe an hourly rate gives our clientelle more flexibility to be personally involved when it comes to moving their home. Being well organised, helping with the small items and following our expert tips will reward you by making your move easier, faster and less stressful as well."

        2. How long will my home relocation take?
"From experience, a 3 bedroom home moved locally takes about half a day
(5 hours). If your home is smaller or larger than this, than the estimated time is generally adjusted by an hour or two. Feel free to help with all your small items. For convenience, when your new home has been relocated, simply use our mobile EFTPOS machines for easy payment. At the end of the day, my men in pink want to make your move as efficient as possible."

3. Do you travel outside of my local area?
"Yes, we can take you Statewide on our "Pink Express". You travel exclusively with us, not in a big truck with 4 or 5 other families possessions or a hot container. My men in pink will pack your home up in the morning and start travelling to your new home the very next day. We do a fixed price on our exclusive moves as they need to be pre-paid before hand. Call me to arrange a free inspection and quote"

4. Karlee, what if I find a cheaper hourly rate?
"There are some companies that have a cheaper hourly rate, but more and more Modern Women and Family Men are choosing our service because they are looking for a New Style of removalist (after previous disappointing experiences). We are so confident in the quality of our removalists, that we offer you our NO breakage policy (a very rare thing to find). Your home relocation is fully covered by us and we take full responsibility, as moving professionals, for the integrity of your possessions. The men in pink are the style of removalist you have been looking for. They are very experienced, efficient, friendly and most importantly...wear deodorant J. All a part of making your next moving experience enjoyable from start to finish."

5. If I make a booking, is there a penalty for changing the moving date?
"We understand that circumstances change for many reasons, so let us know as soon as possible. We relocate many customers who book with us without knowing the exact date of their upcoming move, so there is no penalty for cancellations. However, being very popular, please try and book early, giving you a better chance of securing your ideal moving day."

                                                                                                                 Kind Regards,    Karlee Foley

Moving can be a stressful time and packing up the family home can be a chore for even the most tolerant of people. Focus on the excitement of moving to your new home and leave the pre-packing worries to the experts.
We can also supply all of your packaging essentials:

My men in pink can pack up the average home kitchen for under $300. They are very efficient and can pack an average of 6-8 large cartons every hour."

Short on tools?
Then you need our disassembly service.

Disassemble.JPG

To ensure the safety of your larger items, it is usually neccessary to have them disassembled for transportation. All our operators carry a complete tool kit specifically for this purpose.
We can even make your bed in your new home (literally).
Our operators will consult with you about this service on arrival and prior to departure. This service is part of our hourly rate.

Short on transport?
Then you need our Impressive Movers.
